Thanks for the links Raven; a quick opinion. Prof. Macy lacks rigor on the arguments to the extent he has apparently joined with the hedge fund industry as a stand in mouthpiece. He lacks awareness to the extent of making statements which could be violative of law. Patrick has come a long way with these arguments and has a far better basis for arguing the subject. I was amazed that the prof made some of the statements he made, pure rationalization; as if to obfuscate as courseware, for what might come, which is pretty much all the depth his arguments contained. Still there is not enough bandwidth being displayed regarding the issue. There will never be, until the debate becomes focused outward from the laws regulating security issuance and there after each activity that derives therefrom. Supply and Demand are at the heart, not the periphery of this subject.
