Self-expiring bans are planned.

Regarding ignores, there is no compelling reason for us to arbitrarily remove ignores except, maybe, ignores created by terminated accounts after some period.

Who someone chooses to place on ignore is their business alone. The same holds true for boards they choose to SubjectMark, the users they choose to PeopleMark, and the posts they choose to recommend.

Since some abuse the ban feature it makes sense to have bans expire and not be able to reban unless the person makes another new post on the board in question. Keeping a ban for years just shows that the moderator is an abuser type personality.
