Exactly, in 1996 he had committed NO CRIME that we knew about. And why the hell would any American presdient demand the head of a son of one of Saudi Arabia's richest families, a man who had served with the CIA in Afghanistan and helped defeat the Soviets, when that man was not known to have committed any crime? Youa re suggesting CLinton should have been psychic? I'm sure he agrees. But what the rightwing needs to be is honest for a change. This big fat lie that Clintoin was supposedly ofefred Bin Laden and turned him down is a clear weak attempt to cover up and deflect the FACT that Bush allowed 9-11 to happen and let Osama Bin LAden go at Tora Bora and hasn't gone after him since. Disgraceful treason on Bush's part. The worst commander in chief imaginable. Which is why wer'e in the terribvle fix we're in today. And you support this godawful lying treasonous loser.

As has read the transcript many times. He knows what Clinton actually said, but lies, because he thinks he is protecting a democrat. Stupid... and we'd been hearing that the Sudanese wanted America to start dealing with them again. They released him. At the time, 1996, he had committed no crime against America so I did not bring him here because we had no basis on which to hold him, though we knew he wanted to commit crimes against America. So I pleaded with the Saudis to take him, 'cause they could have. But they thought it was a hot potato and they didn't and that's how he wound up in Afghanistan.
