That's why I asked about calculus. Just some basic understanding of the effect of an integral term with some bleed on it. My own field is Control Sytems, so I've had dynamic systems up the ying-yang! I really think that HS level science/math classes should introduce students to the concepts of control theory, at least the math behind feedback systems. It can be dumbed down conceptually. Within a generation or so of that, I think we could get rid of lots of buttheaded ignorance wrt to science topics in the general population. Perhaps it is just me carrying a hammer and seeing nails.
