Interesting, despite this corny play on words :) "... the U. S. Naval Research Laboratory, have successfully combined plasmonics and spintronics in a way that puts plasmonics in a new light, and puts a new spin on spintronics." As for guiding light through metal wires, the imagination is challenged to come up with applications that would benefit. And I look forward to looking back on the preceding sentence some day and having a good laugh! ------
