Good question. Barbara is a very weak TS and its forward speed is very slow.Once Barbara makes landfall it will become a rainmaker and 24 hours after ring itself out and die a quick death.
Now if Barbara was lets say a cat 2 - 5 with a faster forward speed then yes it would have a good chance to do exactly what you
said.

Here is something for you oil future lovers.. There is currently a very rare Cat 5 Typhoon called Ganu in the Arabian Sea off Oman. The forecast has it hitting the NW Coast of Oman on Wednesday as a Cat 2 with 40 foot seas. This is currently not in any news story on TV or the internet... hint hint.... :)))

Another Arabian Sea Monster??
TC0-3B is currently crossing Southern India and will emerging off
its west coast Sunday Morning. Its holding together very well and I expect it to develop into a Typhoon early next week. I have not
checked the steering currents yet and will wait until its developed
on Monday and get back to you.

Iran is in the path of this Cyclone. Looks like a Wednesday morning landfall on SE coast of Iran. This will make 2 land falling Cyclones in Iran this year within a month apart.One has to wonder how global warming is going to change the way we live, with the shift of tropical weather into the middle east.Could this be the start of Armageddon?
