It's a real sideshow, isn't it?

I lived in LaLa FOR 23 years, and left several years ago. If I remember correctly the County Sheriff is an elected official. I don't know when he's up for reelection, but maybe he figured he could use some campaign contributions from Paris and her not-too-downtrodden friends and groupies. Brings to mind what that sleazy D.A. from Durham was willing to do to those Duke athletes to garner support for reelection. His career is over, and hopefully the same for the LA Sheriff.

Some (not all) of the talking heads on Fox are saying that the only reason the Judge ordered Hilton to serve the full 45 days in jail was to get a name for himself.

What a crock. Given the charges against her, she deserved to spend more than a few hours in jail. She showed a blatant disregard for the law more than once.

And I'm not buying any of the lame excuses she has pulled to try to get out of jail either. If she were a non-celebrity the judge would have told her she should have thought about the consequences after her first offense & abided by the law. Since chose not to, so boo frickin' hoo. Do the time.
