Me three. In order for putin to be credible he needs to tweak uncles nose occasionally. I used to think De Gaulle used to play this role. Because they are perceived as independent and sometimes openly critical of Uncle, when they support us, it carries real weight. We shall see how this works with iran and at some point in the future in the israel/pal conflict where i see russia as a country that has standing with both sides---history with the arabs and russian emigres with israelis.
