You realize that many people would say they don't lie...and most of them would be lying. It's one of those social things people do. They give the answers they think they are supposed to.

I don't know you, so I would never evaluate your claim. I will only tell you that based on studies out there it's pretty clear that almost all people lie, and the more social people are, and the more concerned they are about the way people perceive them, the more likely they are to lie. Which all meshes with the data we have that the socially successful people are likely to be the best liars.

I'm not accusing the police officers of anything. I don't see lying as negative in and of itself. I see it as a tool- it can be used for good, and it can be used for ill. It's nothing more than that imo. I didn't think I said anything judgmental about the police officers. I just thought the sheer numbers of those willing to commit perjury indicative of the ubiquitous nature of lying.
