Fences and walls dont work if bad guys can lob weaponry over them. Right now hamas can launch dumb rockets but hizbolla proved it could do some damage. Syria has rockets aimed at israel that can supposedly do great damage. The source of all this is iran who seems to be arming every anti-western and anti-israeli terror group out there. So the balance of power is shifting against israel except for nukes and that will change too if iran gets off the hook. I guess i am making the argument for preemption of iran nukes and putting a stop to iran meddling in areas where they have no business.
Of course some reasonable folks think iran can be bought off with both by pledges not to do regime change as well as economic incentives that they would trade their terror and desire for nukes for.
