re:"I didn't claim black holes cannot be detected. They are theoretical because they can't be seen but they can be detected as a matter of inference."

They can be detected as a matter of measurement and direct observation of the radiation being emitted. The fact that you can't see it visibly does not mean something is not there...
They are not theoretical.... Can you see God? Must be theoretical....

"I am not familiar with those instruments, could you provide a link? Thanks in advance, I am fascinated by research on sound. "

With the launch of the next Mars probe, we will be able to hear the sounds of the wind on Mars.....that's not years, but it won't be instantaneous either..... Ever been to an arena and sat in the back row of the upper deck? Did you hear the sound of the crowd after you saw the crowd react? We are seeing things in the universe that are millions of light years away, do you see any relationship? Did you know we have a large project in this country that has been listening to hear sounds of extraterrestrials from space?

"Yes. Example point you flashlight at the sun and turn your flashlight on and off again. "

LOLOLOL!! We've bounced laser beams off the moon and with very small antennas now receive TV signals from 23,000 miles away.....and oh BTW, those signals are the type that turn on and off, ie digital...pretty good, aren't they? We receive photos from all over the solar system, sound is transmitted the same way.

Ya know, I'm beginning to think you don't have much of a background in science....but I'm not calling you stupid.
