US inserted themselves in the equation and even with the best of intentions, our participation has been counterproductive. I dont know what it is about the arab psyche that makes this occur. After watching the PBS film on the 6 day war, I am still in shock watching Nasser in Khartoum being cheered as a conquering hero after he set the stage for the arab debacle. I used to think women were from venus and men from mars. I said similar things about european and asian mentality. But despite these differences we are recognize that we are from the same solar system. With the arabs I cant say that. I dont get it. I never will. So i will in the future always look to steer clear and concentrate our progressive impulses elsewhere in the world, including the islamic world.
