The top blogs aren't that obscure of sources. Also once they get a hold of a story it can spread, eventually impacting the more "mainstream" news. One of the reasons for the rise of the blogs over the past 3 years is because of the very issue I raised.......the MSM media was not reporting on important stories and did not flag the American public when the Bush administration was lying. Competition from the blogs is what has caused America's MSM to do a better job of reporting.
