<<Who is going to pick your fruit and veggies? How much are you willing to pay for an apple?>>

This is the same argument being used by democrats. I almost can't believe what I'm hearing. What we're discussing almost sounds like slavery to me. Are they willing to do the work? Sure they are. That doesn't mean we should take advantage of them. We should pay for an apple what it costs to grow one plus the profit margin - period. Our economy is one of supply and demand. That SHOULD NOT change because American business wants cheap labor that pays below market value for workers. Lincoln must be rolling over in his grave about now.

<<You forget that eventually immigrants are going to fill those positions whether you like it or not.>>

True immigrants are welcome to pick whatever job they want. But the same minimum wage, workers comp, SS etc etc should be applied to them just as they are every other American and if they're citizens it will be. But we aren't talking about legal immigrants - we're talking about illegal immigrants - BIG DIFFERENCE.

<<Cheap labor helps drive economies>>

There's a difference between inexpensive labor and flat out illegal. These people need to get out of my country - like yesterday! And companies that hire them should be hit with paralyzing fines that render them bankrupt if they continue to violate the law.
