I picked strawberries for two summers in a row when I was a kid. So what?

My sister doesn't call in sick. She shows up every day and likes her job. Sure she wishes she made more money.........that is why she is looking for another job. She was a buyer for Boeing for 15 yrs until she did something stupid and quit.

And where does it say that making more money makes an employee more loyal?

There are just some jobs in this country that most Americans won't do and the demand for services just keeps growing and growing.

How much should a checker, or grocery bagger, or paint salesman at Home Depot make in order to attract born and raised Americans?

the only reason for a 'labor shortage' is a 'wage shortage'

If the government didn't have all kinds of programs to feed they lazy, how many of those people would refuse to work rather than accept wages that they deem to be beneath them? IMHO hunger has a powerful motivating effect.
