It's like people get ANGRY that OTHER people won't work for nothing.

How much should a checker, or grocery bagger, or paint salesman at Home Depot make in order to attract born and raised Americans?

setting aside the point of domestic jobs being for 'born and raised americans' (which really wasn't at issue in my statement) the point is that businesses are not paying a living wage because they *can*...

why is that? because we have a flood of illegals who are willing work for below market wages which still equates to a healthy income compared to what they are getting elsewhere

there have always been jobs in this country that americans didn't want to do

remember back in the day when you actually had guys who road on the back of garbage trucks and picked up trash? that was before the time when we had the illegal population we do now, and the guys who took those jobs did so until they could get something better, and even those wages for trash haulers rose until technology eliminated the need

but that is not what we are seeing today....we are seeing not only service jobs, but jobs that were considered 'trades' in residential and commercial building going to illegals because, let's see....what would you do if you could get away withing paying an illegal $12/hour to hang drywall or $20 to a non-illegal

i just don't buy the argument that we need illegals because they are doing jobs americans won't...americans will do tough and dirty jobs, they always have....but what we have now is a an entire displaced population that has gotten in illegally who are willing to work those jobs for much less, iow THEY are making the labor market in those jobs

the so-called jobs american's 'will not do' have evolved like the sweat shops of the early 1900's
