Did you just say that you are at a loss to see how thinking that agents of the American government deliberately killed 3000 American citizens on 9/11 could rationally be called an "anti-American" viewpoint? Yes. Calling it "anti-American" is IMO inapt. "Mad," perhaps, but not "anti-American." Agents of the US government are suspected of doing and actually do all sorts of things that they, in the opinions of various citizens, shouldn't. If calling them on it is "anti-American," then we are all "anti-American." Lots of folks here on this thread have been quite vocal about the agents of the US government who they believe will give "amnesty" to illegals. What about officials engaging in torture? Or arming various war lords? Or bombing aspirin factories? Or making disastrous treaties? Or murdering Vince Foster? Are they anti-American to make those charges? I don't think so. The charges might be valid or invalid, reasonable or wild, hostile or disappointed, but hardly anti-American. The charges are against the officials who are perceived to be acting wrongly in our name. The charges aren't against America. You're conflating the officials with America. America is us, our Constitution and our people, not the corrupt, wrong-headed, weak, stupid, megalomaniacal, criminal, and/or perhaps even un-American officials being charged. It is very, very American, not anti-American, to make charges against officials who don't well represent America, by whatever standards we may have for that. Rosie's standards may be hostile and unreasonable, even mad, but she is hardly anti-American in making them. You're trying to fit a square charge into a round meme, and without any justification beyond a raised eyebrow, to boot.
