I don't agree that such sentiments are few and far between and mostly a figment of us conservative's imagination. Most people with such sentiments are simply wise enough to frame them better than Sheehan, Churchill, and DeGenova.

Add Robert Jensen to that list.

I guess it's a matter of one's experiences. I don't read anything that is ranty, hysterical, mindless garbage, other than brief samplings to get the flavor. But I know and sometime talk politics with liberals and, while they have goals for the US I don't agree with, that I think would be disastrous mistakes if achieved, I can't find anything remotely anti-American about them. They just see Utopia differently and want to move their beloved country more towards their version of it. As do we all.

It's also a matter of risk assessment, to dredge up one of my favorite hobby horses. There's no point in getting worked up about something that can't prevail, no matter how offensive it may be.

I find the winger propagandists on both sides equally disgusting. I'm pretty impatient with those who embrace their side's version of it as normal while howling about the other side's.
Pots and kettles, IMO.
