I'd really like CTRL right arrow for next and CTRL left arrow for back one message, and something similar for next batch or prior batch.

4 keys near each other would work.

I like the arrows. For one thing, with the text version, at times the "next" would move on the screen. I use the next a lot to skip reading certain posters, so it's faster - easier if you don't have to look; just keep clicking the same spot.
