Gilroy has become a bedroom community for Silicon Valley. It's where you go if you have kids and want them to have some room to play, and stay away from the ultra competitive towns like Palo Alto and Los Altos, and problem schools in San Jose. Median Family income is 93 k. Per capita is about 27 k, because of kids. Housing ranges for around 600 k to about 1.8 million.
