Europeans don't need homes like that,

I had a garage cabinet business in Southern California before I retired. It amazed me how many people bought two story retirement home, 3000SF or better. With an upstairs master bedroom!

Have you found a McMansion yet? Thing we noticed while in MA and CT on our recent trip, is that we didn't see any housing developments....there might be some, but actually didn't see any in ME, MA, CT either while driving through. Maybe the small towns were the precursor of developments...

Re gas, don't know what the State gas tax is for any of the East Coast states we went through, but in every case, gas was cheaper there than in WA. It seemed to vary from as low as $2.95/gal to as high as $3.09/gal..... In Woodinville today, as we went to Mobaks to help with their economic outlook for the year, the gas was $3.15-$3.18.....and as you know, our State gas tax is 34 cents/gal, thanks to the Dems in the State Senate and House, and Governor's office.

Hope you are enjoying it back there...we miss you here...!
