After an experience my wife had with State Farm when they were the insurer on both sides of an accident where somebody ran a stop sign and hit her, I have a piece of advice.

Never ever say you are 'fine' and go along your merry way, even if you don't think you were hurt. Go to the emergency room and get checked out. If you have any latent effects from the collision, the insurance company will use it against you if you didn't think it was serious enough to go to the doctor right away.

Say something like "I'm concerned about whiplash, and I'm going to see a doctor." Then do it.

I'm usually a peaceable guy, but I had words with State Farm over that one.

...a history of concussions, so any head-type injuries, even from whiplash, are a concern.

Is this the same daughter we saw bungee jumping a couple weeks ago? Head injuries, whiplash...????
