The fire is about 1.5 miles from my dad's house. The outlined area is my best guess as to where the fire has burned by the acreage, streets listed in the news and my sister's accounts of the fire.

Pretty much everyone has been told to get ready to evacuate, but it looks like the weather conditions are becoming a little bit better.

The fire is only 5% contained as of 10:00 this morning. No update on how many more structures have gone up - the total was at 220 late last night.

The boys were able to grab their teddy bears and the dog and help with getting the photos and computer out - they had no time at all. They left with what they were wearing.

Several of their friends lost their pets because they couldn't get home in time.

Tom's dad's home is safe for now. He could see the flames from his backyard last night. My daughter is one of the lucky few in that she has a place to stay - there are 220 families that are homeless now.
