The bull unilaterally invaded the lion territory. The lions got into a bitter factional dispute with the crocs. The buffalo herd mounted a belated surge to rescue the calf. The buffalo surrounded the lions and could have destroyed them or driven them into the croc pond, but they failed to press the attack. The buffalo will face the lions again soon.
