I remember the Tet Offensive. It was reported as an American defeat, the opposite of the truth, as even journalists now admit. General Giap is on record as saying that he nearly gave up then until he read the American coverage and saw the anti-war movmeent.

Vietnam war coverage may have started positive but it shifted. By 1968 it was negative and stayed there. The difference is, that the Iraq war coverage STARTED in 1968-mode. The positive coverage from 1963 - 1968 never existed.
