Lying to authorities where there is no underlying crime rarely if ever gets jail time.

I would like to see all liars stopped and justly punished. I would like to see those serving the public held to a higher standard and made to serve a sentence as an example when they fail in truth. Elected officials even more so since they have a social contract to represent us. Lying is the ultimate breach of that. This was the very issue that caused me to withdraw my support of Clinton. Clinton was convicted of the same crime wasn't he? What was your position on his breach? I would like to see Libby serve his time even while I know he would spend it writing a book and the book deal would probably be the sweetest reward anyone of this period could hope for.

Even so ... Treason? I don't see it.
