I would have had no problem deferring prosecution on Clinton and then pursuing it after his term...but in effect this was done. He was disbarred (or surrendered his law license) in two States (I think), and the matter just fell away.

Somehow if Clinton was in front of a jury explaining why he lied about cheating on his wife, and this was the basis of the perjury and obstruction charge....I suspect the result might not have been too harsh..but the jury could have decided and then let the sentencing be done!

That happened with Libby...but Mr. Bush intervened.
