<<Without a doubt, much of what is blamed on global warming has absolutely nothing to do with global warming. It becomes just too easy to "just blame it on global warming">>

Many say that global cooling will be the next challenge. This grew or this died happens all the time. We don't live on a stabile planet.

<<I do think there is something to it though. When the wind blows from the east, I can no longer see the mountains as the air pollution is so bad from Seattle that it obscures the mountains. Since it didn't use to be that way and since that pollution is most definately man made, I think it would be foolish to accept it without question. ......>>

That's more of a local problem and doesn't require a whole earth solution.

Steve........you continue to suggest that conservatives are opposed to GW research and that they don't think about nor are interested in the study of the dynamics behind GW. I don't know where you got the idea, but I don't think anyone here is saying we shouldn't do those things. On the contrary, I think most here wish that we could do more research and studies so that we can understand what is really happening. My biggest complaint is that GW advocates aren't allowing debate....they are locked into their beliefs and anyone that suggest a different outcome from their own research is discredit or defamed. So really........it is GW advocates who are convinced they are right and they are the ones who seem to prefer that any new study or research cease.

And air pollution in Seattle is limited to a few days or weeks, mostly in the Summer, per year and is dispersed on an almost constant basis by our winds. I was born and raised in Seattle, and except for a 6 yr period of time in the early seventies was always here. I never ever remember not being able to see the mts due to air pollution. Although with the ever increasing influx of people, I imagine we could experience something like that eventually.

Seattle is one of the cleanest cities in the U.S.
