We've had some firearms related discussions over here on GITS I just posted a 3 part series over on Lindy's thread that is well worth reading. The author is a conservative Jewish Hollywood screenwriter (isn't that a contradiction in terms?). The guy is an excellent writer (well, he's a screenwriter, isn't he?). The posts detail his and his family's experiences the night the Rodney King beating verdict came in and the events that led him to conclude that only he could protect his family, not the police.
