I dont blame the doctors only on islam. It is impossible for me to imagine a doctor who is dedicated to taking care of all sick folks, planting bombs loaded with nails designed to rip human flesh off the bones.

I met a man in the early nineties who was here in the USA getting his PhD in Engineering. He worked from dawn to dusk in his lab and was successful at inventing some sort of blue laser, now in production. He was one of the most decent human beings I've ever known.

He had come from an area of the world where being poor meant digging for roots and walking to waterholes while praying the weather didn't turn ugly. Death from starvation, disease, or the elements was the rule, while living to old age was uncommon.

So, he told me of his amazement at walking past a store that had a bubble window where a poodle was receiving a beauty treatment. He watched the treatment and related each fine detail to me as if I had never known of such things. The disappointment he expressed made me want to weep. He couldn't imagine why we would use our wealth in this way when our brethren in the world lacked even a cup of water. I couldn't explain it in a way that would console him and I felt very bad about that.

"...perhaps having seen the victims of war and poverty in their own country, are revolted ...in the most extreme way.... by what the see and treat as doctors in a society whos members general bad health is largely a result of over consumtion of food ,alcahol and drugs."

Perhaps.

Take care,
Gem

I would suggest for a start that western consumeristic culture disgusts many of the 3rd world poor.....even in the best of times.

You don't appear to know many 3rd world poor. They aren't disgusted by western consumer spending levels, they are envious. They want washing machines, cars, cell phone, PS3 and plasma TVs as much as we do.
