OT, Doug does not use the word "faith" in the sense that you used it, e.g.,

I have "faith" [absolutely no
religious connotations intended] in Intel's
process technology wizards. They said that SOI
was not worth the cost. History is proving them
out. They say they can do double-exposure effectively,
and they have working Penryn chips to back up their
claims. I have "faith" [absolutely no religious
connotations intended] in their judgments.

No, Doug uses religious language and refers to an "article of faith." -- Message 23532525

How long did it take you to "research" the "non-existence" of Intel's 3GHz QC parts? Or was that bogus claim just an article of FAITH?

If you type "article of faith" into google, you get the following: google.com

,,,nearly every one of the 591,000 hits are about religious faith. Furthermore, use of the word "faith" here, even without the religious phraseology, is 100% inconsistent with the definition that Doug claims he intends for the word "faith."

He said,
(1) : firm belief in something for which there is no proof
(2) : complete trust

It is inconsistent with that definition, because I said Intel does not have quad core 3 GHz for the server market Message 23526509

and then proved it by giving the link to Intel's Xeon X53XX product page (no 3 GHz). Technically, my statement is actually correct, since the 3 GHz part is still not a part for "the server market," but only for "APPLE." The post just quoted then shows exactly how I investigated the Core 2 Extreme 2.93 GHz part and concluded, by following every retail link on Intel's website, that it also was very hard to find.

So, attributing my statement to "faith" or "articles of faith" makes absolutely no sense, since the reason I stated it was clearly because Intel does not list it as a product on their website in any way, shape or form. And how could "AMD faith" be the basis for any statement about Intel's 3 GHz Clovertown anyway? AMD itself has never said one word about it. Kind of strange, if this is an "article of AMD faith," that AMD says nothing about it. Maybe next, Doug will accuse me of being AMD's prophet?

I state the basis for my FAITH, the only faith I have, on my profile. This is the real reason for Doug's religous-oriented attacks. Member 3987008
