I dislike Iran for the statements of it's leader. If Iran invaded my country and killed or created a situation that caused members of my family to be killed, I'd be motivated to DO something about it for years, maybe the rest of my life.

That's the kind of hatred we sow in Iraq, every day, because of the continuing mistake of invasion. Think about it.

I agree we have created more terrorists but the original premise of Iraq was wmd in the hands of a nutter.

Why do you tell yourself the above when the facts don't line up with the reality? If we were concerned that there were WMDs in the hands of "a nutter", then we would have let the weapons inspectors finish their job. There were other motivations for the Bush/Cheney invasion; WMDs were simply the excuse.

The terrorism part I think was a side effect either counted on to concentrate them in one place and or a complete oversight.

It was a complete oversight.

In either case the attitude of not seeing the potential insurgency and being well prepared to avert it is what bothers me most.

What should bother you the most is how anxious Bush/Cheney wanted to go to war. Until this country realizes that going to war should only used as an absolute last resort, there will always be leaders who get us into messes like Bush/Cheney have.
