Maurice;
t's funny how people say they are against communism, but love communism for their roads, then moan when they are stuck in vast traffic jams because there is no pricing to control supply and demand.

Yup, how terrible when someone has to pay for the service they get......better to just whin and complain when someone - anyone - suggest that you have to pay for the services you get. Tolls on roads - you bet!!!!

I guess one might call I405 a communistic highway if the HOV lane is excepted.

The toll roads are capitalistic to their core.

The point I was trying to make is that the bond approval for their construction obviously included the caveat for a price increase during peak hours.

Either the average Joe who voted for the bonds, did not know that or forgot, since this issue of higher pricing during the rush hours has been on local television a few times in recent weeks.

Personally, I believe the HOV lanes on I405. I110 etc. should be restricted to those vehicles (SUV, pickup or smaller with at least two passengers in the vehicle.

To keep PETA happy, I might even go along with a forty pound dog. ;-)

Your favorite Toll Road begins and ends in probably the most conservative county in California.
