"Let's get right to the point: Did the administration leak former CIA officer Valerie Plame's name to him to punish her hubby, Joe Wilson, who had blasted the president's claim that Iraq was shopping for uranium in Niger? Nope. He says that it was just an afterthought from his source, former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage. In fact, it wasn't even a leak. Armitage was just asking a question about Wilson, whom Novak met two days before, July 6, 2003, in the 'Meet the Press' green room.

"...perhaps you could try and answer the question of who outed Plame and who ordered it?"

I see not benefit in making up things about people I want removed from office. So the only way I could answer such a question would be honestly by stating, I don't know. You could be honest too but you don't seem to believe it is beneficial to be honorable.

The question of whether or not she was even in hasn't been closed, which needs to be resolved prior to anyone being assigned guilt for an outing. I didn't follow the case closely but the evidence seems to suggest that people who talked about her were not to clear on whether or not her status was a big secret. Then when a question of cover ups became an issue that was bigger then whether or not she needed to be kept secret. I agree that cover-ups are bad whether or not any wrong doing has actually occured. No cover-up was uncovered but one person lied to the justice system and he got busted for it, which is the way our system should work.

"If you're finished with an attempt at a put down, ...

An attempt to put someone down would be an attempt to give them a status that is lower than they have earned. I've been truthful with you, your choices are what they are. You don't like the mirror I hold up for you? If you hand me your watch, I will probably tell you what time it says, if the watch is broke don't blame me, get it fixed.
