So many people who criticize America here think the grass is greener on the other side of the pond. I had to fly over there to see for myself that it's nowhere close to ideal as portrayed. I do think we as a society can afford to walk more and drive less, though. But adopting French-style socialism would be a mistake. Apparently French citizens think so as well, or else they wouldn't have elected Sarkozy. I got a photo of that guy going down Champs-Elysees, you know.
