I posted this on the other thread. Do we agree on this regarding iraq?

Thats my point as well and i was for the war initially. There is an article in the NYT today talking about cooperation between former insurgents and US troops in taking out foreigners and locating planted weapons. Do these sunni insurgents love us all of a sudden? Nope. The thought is that they sense we will be leaving and they want us to help clean up the mess before we go. After we go there might very well be an increase in sectarian violence. That will include intercene warfare within the shiaas and a battle between different sunni factions and with the foreigners. It wont necessarily be pretty but it will be a prerequisite for some future deal. Arabs are not nuts and each side's proponents whether in MAS (mod arab st) or iran will only let it go so far. There will ultimately be a deal AFTER not BEFORE we leave. And you know what, parts of the deal wont be all that bad for US FP imho.
