<They never seem to be able to deny that the goal is to control the whole world.> It is hard to read this sort of thing coming from an American without laughing out loud. I don't see much intention here to discuss "religion" -- only a desire to vilify billions of people to advance your own political agenda. Our armies occupy strategic locations round the world -- our view is that we cannot allow anybody to challenge our global dominance, giving special attention to securing resources we deem necessary to sustain our way of life. We do not do this because we are "Christian". We do this because we mistakenly believe we are smart in trying to do this. Wherever we are challenged in our quest for global dominance, we assert that it must be the fault of godless communists or radical Islamists (etc.), and our only hope is to redouble the resources we devote to military action to bend them to our will, if not eliminate them entirely. Islam is no more evil than Christianity -- although there are certainly evil Muslims and evil Christians. I think what Kumar is saying is that he does not want to waste our time by giving a platform to those who want to rap themselves in a cloak of religious superiority while taking shots at "the enemy" who have committed the sin of having their own religion. Religion is not the issue -- the corruption of religion used to hype a political agenda does however seem to be something useful to note. This is a global scourge and we suffer from it just as much in the United States as do others, although we export most of our suffering.
