Then why is health care so much cheaper in countries with single payer? Your argument has a nice ring to it but in practice it's just false.

P.S. - I have to clarify what I said earlier about "irresponsible lazy bums." If I had a family member who needed health care, I'd be glad to help out with the costs, UNLESS he demanded it from me just because I make more money. In response to his demand, I'll tell him he's an "irresponsible lazy bum." I wouldn't care if he has three children to feed and has to work two jobs to do it. Just his demanding attitude itself will draw such a response from me.

Its your right to take this attitude but let me just say for the record, its not what Jesus preached.
