I don't recall ever having such a visceral reaction as I
did to that post, based on my 'gag-reflux' reaction when
I read it...Disgusting beyond belief!!! F'ing animals!!!

No, I didn't miss that paragraph, part of me wish's I did..

suspect most of you missed this paragraph in the Michael Yon email I posted earlier. I have never read anything more horrible. It's beyond my imagining. The MSM will NEVER touch it. But quite a few blogs have picked it up.

Bill,

I don't think it's a matter of most of us missing the paragraph. I think it's more like the effect it had on Lt. Wallach when he paused in his interpreting. It's the most horrific thought imaginable.

I'll guess that most of us read it with equal horror. The problem really is that most of us on this board actually wish that others who need a reality other than the place they currently are, would see the Michael Yon's article as well.

If the regular media won't print Yons' article, how else would they hear the story?

The perpetration of terror is always horrible. It knows no limits.
While reading that this AP message came in. It demonstrates once again that our conventional tactic can only squeeze one end of the ballon at a time. And doing that only causes it to blow up elsewhere.
The reason is quite simple. A fundamental advantage to insurgent warfare is the weaker party (the insurgent) gets to pick and choose the time and the battle space for every fight.

Attacks Kill 50 Iraqis, 8 U.S. Troops

TUZ KHORMATO, Iraq (AP) - Suicide bombings killed nearly 50 people and wounded dozens in two Shiite villages north of Baghdad, including a large truck explosion Saturday that ripped through an outdoor market and buried victims in rubble, officials said.

Separately, eight American troops and a British soldier were killed in fighting over two days.

The blasts suggested that Sunni militants are regrouping to launch their deadliest form of attack - suicide explosions, often against Shiites - in regions further away from Baghdad, beyond the edges of a three-week old U.S. offensive on the capital's northern flank.

You'd almost expect something that lurid to get MSM attention. But then that might not help the anti-Bush movement.

When I read stuff like that, I immediately dismiss it as fiction. This is not to say that AQ didn't do it, or wouldn't do it, but I simply don't buy crap from "unnamed officials."

I'm disappointed in Yon. If it really did happen and was verified, I'd want to know about it, but I resent being subjected to images passed along from some propagandist's fever-dream. (That's a criticism of Yon, not of anyone else.)
