you make a valid point. Most immigrants come to the US for a better standard of life and better income, rather than because they prefer US Politics. I am from India/NZ, my landlord is from Iran, some of my friends are from Pakistan, my cousin's wife is from Phillipines, my former manager is from Zimbabwe, the maid service that cleans my apartment is predominantly Mexican.
