"That's a far cry from "good prenatal care available on an income basis." " Nope, it directly correlates. Those on the top, stay there because they get all the advantages early on. Plus, they get better food, health care, housing, etc. Those on the bottom, can't get a foothold because they can't get any of those things. Have you actually read the book? Or just saw the TV adaptation?
