Really? You don't know why Muslims don't eat pork? Jews don't eat pork either. Religious Jews also have their women dress modestly, though not as modestly as Muslim women. You don't know why religious people do these things? I'm interested to read their explanation as to why they do things, specifically why they do things which seem silly to non-religious people. I'm hoping the answer is more than "just cause", but so far no answers.... Why don't Jews eat pork? Is it because they believe doing so is sinful or harmful, or is there no moral or medical reason but they've been told for thousands of years by their leadership not to eat it, or what? Those are the two main option I can think of, and they are very different reasons. One is based on morality and/or health, the other is just following rules because that's what dad said to do.
