Well his SAT score was 1206 not good IMO, and his mother has been quoted saying in private circles that "GWB has lack of intellect and drive".

i think it applies here. he's smart, but he's clueless on a practical, big picture level. his arrogance also blinds his ability to make good decisions and his ability to retain his best advisors. not only that, if he doesn't like what you say, his jesus complex allows him to start going on the attack in order to self justify his view by dehumanizing his opponents.

he's the self proclaimed "decider," so everyone ought to just shut up and let him "decide" whatever he wants.
