To say that assessment is disturbing, is certainly an understatement. Is China that stupid? Isn't the US their major customer?

If I could bet on it, I'd bet that increasing economic pressure builds a hostile environment, followed by escalating military confrontations that lead to all out warfare.

Tis the main reason I'm hoping PO hits sooner
rather than later .. We won't have the energy
to fight the last "resource grab war" unless global
powerdown and die-off is part of the plan ....

Triff ..

Uncle, we are very far ahead of the Chinese. It's time for the US to suggest that China, not us, is the Paper Tiger.

slate.com

We are so far ahead of the Chinese in naval and aerial warfare that the Chinese would be foolhardy to go after Taiwan.

If you think a Chinese/American conflict will go nuclear, you need to read this article. It won't because our nuclear forces are, in a word, unbelievably strong and focused. So mighty, the thinking is beginning to take hold that MAD simply does not apply to deter us anymore.
