D Long; The goal is not to get people to like us. The goal is to defeat Islamic fanaticism as a credible ideology by killing its militant adherents and creating alternatives in the Middle East. Gauging success in war by how many people like or dislike us is absurd. Well I sure don't care if they like us or not - but why you want to favor a policy that increases their hatred for us confuses me. Bush by his policy has done more for Islamic extremism than Bin Laden could ever have imagined. Don't you see that people who use to accept us and admire our way of life now hate us? What's your plan - kill all Muslims? steve
