Brunur;

If you label yourself as a "social liberal" as you just did, why complain about people on the thread unfairly labeling you as "liberal"?

I used that wording because some of you don't understand the difference between social "liberal" and "libertarian". If you had been honest about my comment you will note that I said I was actually a libertarian. Social liberals - just like republicans, pick and choose which issue they want to give you as "freedoms". A Libertarian on the other hand views the individual as all important and grants you freedoms that are taken away by both democrats and republicans.

Secondly; If you have been paying attention, I am a fiscal conservative. I believe in smaller government and very small if any taxes. That use to be - but is no longer a republican belief.

Thirdly; I believe our borders need to be sealed to people coming across our borders. Hasn't that been a rather conservative position?

All of that being said, I will vote for a democrat before voting for one of those trying to instill fear into Americans by constantly drumming the beat of terrorism. So, if you think that makes me a liberal - I won't argue.
