Most of us who are paying attention to such things know what the Left is doing....and when the troops actually got in Iraq...They didn't even start to go until May, and the last troops just got there a couple of weeks ago.

It is patently stupid. No one with a brain can expect a surge to work, until the whole force for the surge arrives.

And speaking of Congress....Has anyone noticed just how many breaks these folks take away from their work? Another reason that Congress has about a 14% approval rating. GWB's looks positively glowing compared to that of Congress!

Surge has little to do with us being successful in bagdad or in the south of iraq. Brits are holed up in Basra at a base for fear of personal injury if they venture out as shiaa fight for control between each other. Bagdad and the surrounding area are equivalent to Dodge City. US needs to go and go relatively quick. Bring the iraqis who helped us here. Give them green cards. Civil strife will probably get worse as iraqi govt fails without us as all puppets do. Outside chance that all iraqis will realize that they stand at the abyss of their own "lebanon" and rise to the challenge and make peace with each other. Perhaps saudi backers of sunnis and iranian backers of shiaa can somehow control the situation to prevent all out civil war. I wont make predictionss. But all i know is that i dont want anymore americans to die for a war that our politicians of both parties know we have already lost. John Kerry was right with what he said about being the last to die in a war that cant be won. US has mucked up any chances we had to win after we won the war portion. Its seems everything we did was wrong after our lightening victory. After the Golden Mosque attack in early 2006, it should have been clear to all that this was a hopeless excersise. The 2000 americans who died since then have died in vain just as our 20,000 + soldiers who died in vietnam after our political class and our President LBJ admitted to themselves that it was hopeless. Thoussands dying while we are looking for a face saving exit is unacceptable.
