Cuba is a poor country with shortages, that type of gold plated medical facility isn't available to everyone all the time.

Duh. I'm sure that there is different treatment for different people. There certainly are shortages. Of everything. But that makes their life expectancy figure more impressive. There are plenty of wealthier countries with lower life expectancy. Far wealthier countries. You may reply, yes, but claims to have eliminated class distinctions. Well, yeah, but everyone knows that eliminating those completely is impossible. You may reply, well, Cuba lies, and it's impossible to believe their numbers. Well, perhaps, but plenty of Europeans and and Central and South Americans go to Cuba, if there really was a health disaster going on there, believe me we'd know about it. I doubt if any Central or South American country can compare with it, considered as a whole, and especially adjusting for per capita income.

Look, just the fact that people can argue about the health care system of Cuba is amazing. We wouldn't compare the health care system of, say, Russia with the US, and Russia is a lot wealthier than Cuba is. Cuba has less than 1/10 the GDP/capita of the US. Education and health care are their priorities. That isn't the mark of a Stalinist-type dictatorship.
