First, I'm looking long range...and Second....I CAN NOT believe you think that the entire country wasn't affected by 9-11. Maybe in your world, but certainly not in mine.

There were people here in this country in the World Trade Towers alone from 63 countries of the world.

Each of the more than 3,000 people who were killed that day. All had wives, husbands, mothers, fathers, children, relatives, co workers, friends.....And you say only a "few" Americans on the West Coast were directly affected....

We have been in Iraq for 4 1/2 years. About 3600 of our Military have been killed in that time. It only took the terrorists 1 day to kill nearly that many.

We all watched in horror that day. This entire country has paid BILLIONS of dollars to protect our citizens from more attacks. And yet, there are bound to be some.

Maybe if all you do is sit around all day and don't have any broader view of all America does for the world, then all you care about is where you get your next few dollars from, what's hot at the movie, what is going on in the newest club etc....

If a nuke is set off ANY place in this country, you can kiss your "good life" goodby for quite awhile. Nothing will EVER be the same again.

If any bio weapons are set loose, a strong ditto.

9/11 WAS an isolated incident for most Americans and most of the world.

Bush, and his administration have ENCOURAGED terrorism and allowed it to flourish and grow through their incompetence.

bin Laden, his right hand man and the leader of the Taliban have MORE freedom to operate NOW than they did before 9/11.

Terrorist attacks and the number of terrorists has increased 10 fold since 9/11.

A FOOL like Bush was the "perfect" FOIL for radical Muslims.

Virtually no one that I know in the USA has been directly affected by terrorists since 9/11

the affected include those who lost money and jobs in the economic downturn following 9/11.
