20,000( maybe closer to 30,000) died after our leaders knew the war was lost. To lose 20k additoinal soldiers that way is criminal. Now that we have lost in iraq, each american that dies is really dying for nothing. I would date the clarity of our losing to our leaders back to the Golden Mosque attack in early 2006. Thats where i would start counting the unnecessary casualties from. Our folks knew back then that all we could do is a holding operation until some face saving device would allow us to leave.
